My issue is that this seems essentially like expensive white emulsion. I can't say we are unhappy with the picture quality, not as bright as a TV obviously but we have traded image intensity for size (a good trade off). Our projector is true HD in the 600 pounds cost bracket. I can definitely say that the new paint is whiter and brighter than the trade emulsion, but at four tines the price, once the image is projected, I can't honestly say that I (or my wife) can see any discernible difference. We left a small band either side when we applied the new paint so we could make a comparison. We had previously projected on to high opacity trade white emulsion. At £78 (for two tins) for enough paint to cover the surface with 3 coats, I figured this would be a cheaper option than buying a screen and also, screens of that size have rather large unsightly roller cases which would take up quite a lot of space at the top of my currently pristine wall. I bought this paint as I was projecting onto a wall with a picture size of 120 inches. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 September 2020 I don't know that I would have paid for a second tin to get this effect, though. We do get an effect of 'reflected light' at ours. I believe that this product promises a gain of +1.0, meaning the wall now reflects the amount light from the projector (or more), rather than absorbing it. I'm super happy w our results at the cost of 1 tin of paint, but would have been very sad if we'd had to use two tins bc the improvement over projecting onto a plain white wall might have been minimal. We had enough for one very liberal coat, but *not* two. You can see that it's different when painting it (looks a bit like liquid white glitter eyeshadow), but it does not glitter or shine in the daylight when we're not projecting. We did only the bit above the sofa (this stuff is so expensive and the tin is small). We primed the wall, did a first coat in plain white paint (matt), then painted using this projector paint. This projector paint DID help, though we had to be really careful. Strangelove (the projected image here is probably 8.5 or 9 ft in length), projected w a 3500 lumen projector onto our wall at home at night.
